SYNOPSIS

The Russian bear Nicolaï immigrated to Europe to prove to the love of his life (his beautiful ex wife Natasha) that he’s not a loser. During the day he works as a bear in the zoo, in the evenings he tries to forget his problems by playing the piano. Immigrants come and go, and one day a certain Gennady arrives at the zoo. He turns out to be the new husband of Nicolaï's unforgettable love, Natasha...

ROMAN KLOCHKOV

Roman Klochkov earned an MFA in Audiovisual Arts (animation) summa cum laude from the School of Arts | KASK in 2006. His graduation film 'Administrators' was selected for Annecy 2007 and went on to screen at more than 50 film festivals worldwide, winning a dozen awards. Roman’s first professional short film 'Natasha' was nominated for “Cartoon d’Or’ in 2012. His one-minute short 'Peace' (2014) screened at the Short Film Corner Film Market (Cannes), MoMA in New York and several international film festivals such as Fantoche, Monstra and Animatou. Roman lives and works as an independent animation and illustration artist / teacher in Ghent, Belgium.
